A truck topper is mainly used to protect and store goods. It has a good sealing performance and is mainly used for transportation. It is not suitable for on-the-go camper and has very little space.

Fiberglass is better than all-aluminum; all-aluminum is traditional. Fiberglass can withstand greater strength and is more lightweight; its density is light. Aluminum has poor insulation properties, while FRP foam boards have good insulation properties because of the use of polyurethane foam or XPS foam. FRP is more durable and lasts longer.

Slide-in truck campers are also called pickup truck campers because they are designed to slide into a pickup truck compartment for use. The name emphasizes the specific way they are used with pickup trucks.

To be able to use a small slide-in camper properly, the cabin should be between 1.5 and 2.1 meters long. If the cabin is too short, then it will not be possible to convert it into a slide-in camper.
